About this book

Allow me to introduce myself: my name is Rosaleen O’Connor. There I was, living an ordinary midlife, quite a good one as far as I knew. Until my husband pulled the rug out from under me, trading me in for a younger model and informing me that our beloved house in London’s Notting Hill was being repossessed.

So, with limited choices at my disposal, I landed in the home of my ancestors on the wild Atlantic West coast of Ireland. I soon found out that all was not as it appeared to be and that I was not who I believed myself to be.

Could I do it? As a mother of one grown up daughter and would-be interior designer, could I design a new life and a whole new identity for myself? With my astonishing new-found witchy powers and the help of my weird collection of new neighbours, none of whom were quite what they seemed either, could I defeat the forces of darkness? The Morrigan, goddess of war and Jalmari, the leader of the Dark Fae army, who together sought to destroy me and all that was good in the world? I would soon find out at The Great Battle of Samhain…

Join me on my magical transformation in book one of this wild and wonderful paranormal women’s fiction series.

Fun book and engaging story!

June 30, 2024

Fun book with an engaging story that pulled me in. I loved Rosaleeen and how she embraced her new adventure in Ireland. The setting in a cottage overlooking the Atlantic is atmospheric and made me want a cottage next door. The village and its inhabitants are varied and interesting and I loved the way Rosaleen discovers her powers and slowly accepts her place in the community. With a very unique cast of characters, lots of magic, and an epic battle, this is a delightful, must-read book. ) One...

A wonderful escape!

Always lovely to start a new series, and this first book eased me gently but firmly into the story. I really resonated with the main character. I enjoyed following her enlightenment as she grows into her new role, her new life. Dramatic but not overly so. I like the tone of this book. ) One person found this helpful

The scenery is described so well and very graphic colors, it is makes you feel like you are looking at it in person. All the characters are well described also. Fantastic story. Can hardly wait to read the next book. ) One person found this helpful

Comforting and cozy magical read

This book has gotten me back into loving reading. After a few failed starts, I searched for a magical romance type novel and happened upon this book. I’m so glad I did! I read it in a few days and it made me feel cozy inside. I kind of felt like I was back in school when I used to enjoy reading so much. I’m personally a lover of the Twilight books, LOTR, and similar novels. I also love magical shows like the good witch and what we do in the shadows. I highly recommend this book. A great read...
