About this book

Rosaleen O’Connor thought her biggest midlife crisis would be a crumbling marriage and a lost home in London. But when she retreats to her ancestral cottage on the rugged West coast of Ireland, she discovers that her life is far more than an ordinary renovation project. Thrust into a world of ancient magic, Rosaleen realizes the blood of a witch runs through her veins, a secret heritage that changes everything she thought she knew about her past.

This enchanting paranormal women’s fiction novel masterfully blends the charm of a fresh start with the high-stakes thrills of urban fantasy. As Rosaleen navigates her newfound powers, she finds herself surrounded by an eccentric cast of neighbors who are hiding secrets of their own. From the atmospheric, windswept cliffs of the Atlantic to the shadows of the supernatural realm, this story is a perfect escape for readers who love tales of self-discovery and hidden identities.

But the peace of the coast is short-lived. To protect her future, Rosaleen must stand against the darkness of the Morrigan and the encroaching Dark Fae. With the fate of the world hanging in the balance at the Great Battle of Samhain, she must embrace her inner power. If you are looking for a magical transformation, witty prose, and a dash of Irish mysticism, this series starter promises an unforgettable journey.

Fun book and engaging story!

Fun book with an engaging story that pulled me in. I loved Rosaleeen and how she embraced her new adventure in Ireland. The setting in a cottage overlooking the Atlantic is atmospheric and made me want a cottage next door. The village and its inhabitants are varied and interesting and I loved the way Rosaleen discovers her powers and slowly accepts her place in the community. With a very unique cast of characters, lots of magic, and an epic battle, this is a delightful, must-read book. ) One...

A wonderful escape!

Always lovely to start a new series, and this first book eased me gently but firmly into the story. I really resonated with the main character. I enjoyed following her enlightenment as she grows into her new role, her new life. Dramatic but not overly so. I like the tone of this book. ) One person found this helpful

Comforting and cozy magical read

This book has gotten me back into loving reading. After a few failed starts, I searched for a magical romance type novel and happened upon this book. I’m so glad I did! I read it in a few days and it made me feel cozy inside. I kind of felt like I was back in school when I used to enjoy reading so much. I’m personally a lover of the Twilight books, LOTR, and similar novels. I also love magical shows like the good witch and what we do in the shadows. I highly recommend this book. A great read...
