Eldrith Manor
Leigh Rivers
by Eden Audley
Old friends. Old flames. Old ghosts that never learned to rest.
Ten years ago, Shiloh Teague lost everything. Her boyfriend Aiden drowned. The friend who’d always loved her blamed himself. And the Epitaph Club—the ghost-hunting group that once made her feel alive—crumbled under the weight of guilt and grief.
Now she’s back in Morrow’s End, North Carolina, a weather-worn coastal town where the dead don’t rest—and neither does regret.
Beck Parish was the last person to see Aiden alive. He also died that night—just for ten minutes—but it was long enough to bring something back with him. He’s not sure what followed him home. Only that it wants her.
When the Epitaph Club reunites for a memorial, old feelings rise from the deep. Shiloh never stopped loving Beck…but she never forgave him either. Not for surviving. Not for vanishing when she needed him most.
But something is stirring in the surf—something lonely, hungry, and patient. And as the past begins to bleed through to the present, Shiloh and Beck will have to face the truth:
The dead speak sweetly in Morrow’s End—but they never speak without a price.

Eden Audley writes the kind of books that stay with you long after you’ve read the final page. Her stories are filled with magic and mystery, and they always leave me wanting more. “The Ghosts We Shared” is no exception. A group of friends once roamed the small coastal town of Morrow’s End, North Carolina. They called themselves the Epitaph Club. When one of their own was killed their senior year it caused the group to fracture. Secrets were buried along with the dead. But when they come back...

I have to start by saying this is one of the most hauntingly beautiful stories I have ever read. I love all the main and supporting characters, and the ‘world’ in which they live. I cannot wait to see where the series goes. THE GHOSTS WE SHARED is a story that could be about any of us wallowing in the guilt of outliving a loved one. Beck and Shiloh’s story is devastating in its ability to connect to the most vulnerable places within, dragging to the surface all the broken pieces you thought...

The Ghosts We Shared is a chilling tale of grief, haunting, and the lengths we go to overcome loss. Beck Parrish has been haunted by grief since he lost his best friend Aiden a decade ago when he almost died in the same accident. His spiraling symptoms led him to cut off his entire friend group until the death of another in the group leads to the reunion of the Epitaph Club. Reunited with the group and confronted with Shiloh, Aiden's girl, Beck learns his haunting grief might not be just grief...

This novel was like a spooky, small town, second chance romance book. It is unique in its story telling and the story itself draws you in. Beck and Shiloh and their friends were just 18 when they lost their friend Aiden. Beck and Aiden had dared each other, one died that night and one barely escaped with his life. Years later, Shiloh shows back up home due to a friend’s funeral, and reconnects with the Epitaph club. She allows her feelings for Beck finely take over and the rest is a surprise...
