The Gas Attendant (Ghosts and Spirits)

by Rick Naylor

About this book

Do you believe in the things that go bump in the night, or are you waiting for a reason to start? For those who crave a chilling dive into the supernatural, this gripping tale offers a haunting exploration of the unknown. It begins with a childhood encounter on a desolate country road, where a simple sighting of a local legend—a man long dead—shatters the boundary between the living and the spirit world.

The narrative masterfully utilizes the forced-proximity trope, trapping characters in situations where there is nowhere to run and no one to turn to but each other. As the tension mounts, the protagonists are thrust into a claustrophobic nightmare, forced to confront entities that defy logic and explanation. It is a masterclass in atmospheric dread that will keep you checking over your shoulder long after the final page.

Perfect for fans of paranormal suspense, this story proves that sometimes the most terrifying things are the ones we cannot explain. Whether you are a skeptic or a true believer, prepare to leave the lights on. This is more than just a ghost story; it is an unforgettable descent into the shadows that will leave you breathless.

But, I have to...

I can't wait for more from this author! Bravo! There are rumours of strange things happening at an old gas station on the eastside of New York. The unsuccessful artist Richard gets caught in the middle after the owner, Mr. Sanford, experiences a terrible car accident. Also a detective gets involved by investigating old murder...
