60 Seconds Between Worlds: A Love Story Beyond Death (60 Seconds Forever Book 2)
R.J. Lumen
by Danielle Wolfe
Charlotte arrived at college seeking a fresh start, a desperate attempt to outrun the shadows of a traumatic past. Instead, her world fractures on the very first day when Death comes to collect her beloved cat, Syn. What begins as a singular tragedy quickly spirals into a supernatural nightmare, binding Charlotte to a series of chilling, near-death encounters that refuse to let her move on.
The catalyst for this downward spiral is Derek, a man hardened by his own dark history. When he draws the Death card during a tarot reading for Charlotte, he unknowingly triggers a haunting connection between her and the spirit of her feline companion. As the line between the living and the dead blurs, Derek becomes the only tether keeping Charlotte from being consumed by her own grief and the spectral forces closing in around her.
This haunting paranormal romance masterfully weaves together themes of trauma, destiny, and the twisted nature of obsession. Danielle Wolfe delivers a visceral, atmospheric journey where the ghost is as symbolic as it is terrifying. For readers who crave a dark college romance that is as emotionally heavy as it is beautifully macabre, this novella is a spellbinding, must-read experience.

Syn’s Death is haunting in the best way — it’s dark, emotional, and beautifully twisted. I loved how the ghost wasn’t just spooky but symbolic of Charlotte’s grief and trauma. The romance is complicated and raw, and the paranormal elements gave it this dreamy, almost surreal feeling. ) !Image 108: Haunting Romance !Image 109!Image 110: Haunting Romance !Image 111 _5 out of 5 stars_ #####...

This book tackles the difficult subject of sexual trauma, and I think the author does a strong job capturing the emotional turmoil of someone trying to heal from a traumatic childhood. The internal struggles of the main character are portrayed with depth and sensitivity, and I appreciated the metaphorical use of Syn as a representation of her inner pain—it was a creative and effective touch. Some of the paranormal elements added an intriguing layer to the story, though a few felt a bit forced...
