When Kevin Cooper and his troublemaking friends venture off to explore Ashmore house, Victoria tags along to protect her classmate, Icarus, from the manipulative tricks of Kevin and his posse. But the irresponsibility of their actions catches up to them when Icarus suddenly goes missing. Did he run home in fear, or was he victim to a supernatural misdeed? The answer becomes clear when Victoria and the others find themselves trapped and tormented by the psychotic ghost of a man who murdered his family a hundred years ago. Now she and Kevin will be forced to set their differences aside if they are to survive the night and save their friends. And through the haunting acts of demonic possession, clairvoyance, and a palette of other deadly horrors, they'll discover that they have a deeper link to the house...one that will threaten to tear the fabric that separates this life from the realm of the dead.

I haven’t read a horror book in decades and I had no idea what I was getting into when I began reading this book. It was hard to put down. Did it possess me? It was downright disgusting at times - so much so I literally gagged at one point. Props to the author for creating a story that enraptured and touched me physically and mentally. Job well done. Now, I desperately need to read a romcom!!! )

This novel was scary at least to me. It was very descriptive and at times gross. What an imagination this author has! )

Benjamin Card’s Survive the Night is a gripping psychological thriller that plunges readers into a dark, suspenseful journey where every decision feels like a matter of life or death. Set against a tense backdrop of isolation and fear, the novel examines not only the dangers lurking outside but also the unsettling uncertainty within human relationships. )

It’s honestly a great book! It has a wild, fun vibe to it like it was made for a crazy evil dead style horror. Theres some truly scary scenes in it but there’s some deep, emotional characters at the center of it. Emotional and a bloody good time is how I’d categorize it lol )

Fantastic read. Not for the faint of heart cause I will admit there were some gory scenes, even for me. But the plot kept things moving at a fast pace and I was hooked. Definitely check this one out. )
