Light and Mature - Highly Recommended

I enjoyed this book to the extent I nearly cancelled an outing to instead stay home and finish it. The characters are engaging, the plot is straightforward, and a happy ending was enjoyed by most. It seems new novels must fit a fairly defined set of parameters to get published these days resulting in boring, derivative and YA-level books. I was surprised to pick up a newly released novel and actually enjoy it. Much thanks to the author. )

Light easy reading. Light romance with paranormal influences. Picked this book up through Sunday AccordingtoHoyt self published book listings as submitted by the authors. Not the first book I've purchased having found them there, won't be the last either. Will watch for other books written by Holly Chism. ) One person found this helpful

I Loved This Book Until...

This is a well-written supernatural cozy with a good plot and sympathetic, well-developed characters. I felt like it was a 5-star read for 95% of the book, but my willing suspension of disbelief fell off a cliff in the last few pages. You see, the author has spent most of the book building up the protagonist as a believing, practicing Catholic who has a strong aversion to evil (including revulsion at the fornication culture in her workplace), frequently attends daily Mass, and exercises a...

Romance with paranormal elements

This book is a romance set in modern time with a ghost and young woman. Reminds me of the Ghost and Mrs Muir. It is paranormal because the heroine can see ghosts. It is enjoyable and I recommend it. )
