Three ghosts. A remote cabin. And two skeptics about to discover that love—and the past—are impossible to ignore.
Julia Perrin runs the Donnelly Cabin Inn, a charming bed-and-breakfast with a peculiar reputation—its resident ghosts are rumored to be matchmakers. Not that Julia believes in such nonsense. She’s never been in love and doesn’t intend to start now. But if starry-eyed guests want to believe the legends while paying good money for a romantic getaway, who is she to argue?
Enter Jean-Philippe Fontaine, a French falcon biologist who claims he’s staying at the cabin to track illegal poachers in the nearby wilderness. But he may have another reason for being there—one that involves the ghosts, the cabin’s history, and a long-buried secret of his own.
When unexplained happenings stir up the past, Julia and Jean-Philippe are forced to work together to unravel the mystery. As old stories resurface and sparks begin to fly, they soon realize the cabin’s spirits may have one more love story to tell—one that involves them.
Warm, witty, and brimming with heart, Sentimental Journey is a romance about second chances, unexpected discoveries, and the magic of finding love when—and where—you least expect it. Curl up with this enchanting read today!
Praise for Joanne Pence’s romances:
“There are a lot of books in this genre that tell heart-warming stories about love … but not many that tell it in such a way that it makes you feel the sadness and the joy along with the characters.”
“I really enjoyed this book and find the only negative thing I can say is that it ended. … I'm off to look for more books from Ms. Pence.”
“I wanted to thank Ms Pence by writing this review before going back to my real life … the characters made me feel for them, and for me that's what good fiction is all about.”
“…she weaves a tale with flesh-and-blood characters, a plot that locks into place and a setting nostalgic yet real.”
“Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down until I was finished it.”

This last part of this trilogy wraps up with the last and oldest sister and her journey on letting go of her past by allowing herself to open herself to letting someone she loves into her life. I absolutely loved the ghosts playing matchmakers and how even from beyond they helped her survive through danger and explained how real bravery is opening your heart and letting all your emotions out and...

I read this book in a day. I enjoyed it very much. I too believe the veil between worlds can be thin. Something to find hope and comfort in and not fear. The characters were wonderful, the land and its description were visual with beauty. All around good read. ) One person found this helpful

This book nicely tied up all the loose ends from the first two. Bringing in the falcon issue added a nice layer of interest and action. )
