Eldrith Manor

by Stacey Brutger
I see dead people.
While it might sound cool, I can assure you, it's not. The dead are even bigger assholes than the living.
I learned at a young age to be invisible. Even breathing wrong could set my father off. The beatings became progressively worse as I got older, and I feared I wouldn't survive to see my eighteenth birthday.
So I plotted my escape, and no one was more surprised that it worked than me!
The outside world is nothing like I expected and comes with its own set of problems—five of them to be exact. The five sexy men next door are flirty and fun, and even better, they know nothing about my past. I'm determined to keep it that way. Unfortunately, the dead won't stay quiet, and death and destruction shadow my every footstep.
When one of the men stumbles into danger, I have to make the tough decision to reveal my secrets or allow him to suffer for my sins. Just when I think they accept my unique quirks, my past comes back to haunt me… literally. If I can't learn to master my abilities, none of us will come out of this alive.

Very unexpected great book. I dont normally like books about talking to the dead but I loved the characters so much and the story was so good I found myself hooked. I just loved Rue and each one of the guys were so cute and funny in their own way I couldn't seem to tare myself away from this book. On to read part 2 now. )

It’s good but has inconsistencies that take away from the story and make you feel like you missed something or remembered something to read wrong. It seems to be a theme with authors these days. Are editors no longer a thing? So with this book, there’s character inconsistency, like two of the guys go from distrusting her and wanting her gone to protecting her and saying she’s theirs in just a couple of pages with nothing actually changing in the story to cause it. It’s just their inner dialogue...

Absolutely wonderful! The first book is a must read! Twists and turns and the promise of a light at the end of the tunnel. You just can’t get enough of Rue and her guys while they work to heal each other. And the cliffhanger? Ugh! Can’t wait to see how it ends. Hopefully there’s some light groveling in the second book though. 😂 )

Rue, Hicks, Gunner, Ellis, Jameson and Jaceson are the main characters of this book. Rue has a gift for seeing the dead. It doesn't feel like a gift to her most of the time. She is presently surprised how much she likes the guys and how much they have in common. This book got me from the beginning! I was on the hook to read as often as I could. I can't wait for the next book! This book had magic ghosts and love and romance in it, it was sooo good! )

I enjoyed the story of this first book so much. It was so warming and heartbreaking. I started reading and didn’t want to put it down. I loved the characters. Good writer )
