Roseneath

by Dana McSwain

About this book

Seeking a fresh start after a devastating tragedy, Georgia and Nathan Pritchard retreat to Roseneath, an imposing estate that promises solace but delivers something far more sinister. What begins as a quest for peace quickly descends into a chilling psychological nightmare. Georgia discovers a spectral child hiding in the attic, a ghost who offers a haunting glimpse of heaven, while Nathan is drawn into the cellar’s suffocating darkness, where a malevolent entity begins to erode his humanity.

This award-winning gothic horror novel masterfully weaves together atmospheric dread and emotional stakes. As the boundary between the living and the dead dissolves, Georgia realizes she can no longer trust the man sleeping beside her. The house is a living, breathing trap, and the only key to survival lies in the connection between a grieving mother and a ghost who refuses to remain still.

Perfect for fans of paranormal suspense, this story grips you with its lyrical prose and relentless pacing. It is a haunting exploration of loss and the terrifying lengths we go to for the ones we love. If you crave a supernatural mystery that keeps you awake long past midnight, step inside Roseneath—just be prepared for the shadows to follow you home.

compelling read

December 1, 2020

The main story hooks you in and you'll likely stay up too late too many nights reading just one more chapter as you discover through this very complex universe. Meanwhile, when you're at your boring day job, and you're daydreaming, you'll realize all sorts of funky parallels and metaphors and symbols are all mixed in with the text, and you'll make notes to go back and check details. Also, there are just some really vivid emotional moments. And some of the most creative and unusual monsters....

Compelling.

I finally cleared my deck and grabbed it, and WHOA. This one is a ride and a half. The scary stuff is...

She spends her days and nights in her bedroom while her husband Nathan, a contractor who specializes in home restoration, watches helplessly from a distance. Hoping to pull her out of her spiral, Nathan buys Roseneath, a Victorian...
