Desperate to salvage their struggling web series, Perry Palomino and Dex Foray head to the desolate, wind-swept town of Red Fox. What begins as a quest for viral credibility quickly descends into a harrowing nightmare. A Navajo couple is being terrorized by inexplicable phenomena, from nocturnal stone-throwing to the gruesome discovery of mutilated livestock. As Perry and Dex document the chaos, they realize the threats are far more dangerous than simple skeptics or bad editing.
This pulse-pounding installment of the Experiment in Terror series masterfully blends the grit of a paranormal thriller with the slow-burn tension of romance. Rooted in the ancient, unsettling power of Navajo legends and shape-shifting folklore, the narrative forces our leads to confront more than just unseen entities. Between the haunting weight of Dex’s past and the palpable chemistry simmering beneath their professional partnership, the stakes have never felt more personal.
If you are craving a series that balances terrifying supernatural encounters with raw, character-driven emotional stakes, look no further. Red Fox is a masterclass in atmospheric suspense, perfect for readers who love high-stakes ghost stories and the magnetic pull of a complicated, star-crossed duo. Prepare to be hooked as Perry and Dex fight to survive the darkness, or lose themselves in it forever.

Oh, that Dex and Perry! I love these two and writing a review of the Experiment in Terror books is effortless and fun, I swear! First off, Perry. How do I even express how much I love this girl? I wish more authors would make a Perry in their stories. Perry is complex, in fact I know there is so much more to her based off the hints Karina Halle is dropping through the series, but even if I didn't feel that something was coming, I'd still think Perry was a 100% developed character. Also, the...

In book two of The Experiment In Terror series, Perry and Dex have put together their first episode for their web series and the results are...less than stellar. But they are determined to make this a success. Especially Perry since this has pretty much become her only source of income. In a struggle to save their show, their next tip takes them to New Mexico to help a couple that seems to have hauntings. I complained that Darkhouse was a little bit slow for me (even though I still liked it),...

Full review can be found at ginger-read.blogspot.com * Warning ~ mild spoilers may occur here * My first experience with Karina Halle was last year. I was lucky enough to be part of the tour for The Devil's Metal and I loved the mix of humor, rock and roll and terror. Because I enjoyed it so much, I later picked up Darkhouse (Experiment in Terror #1). It was free and I wanted to see if Halle's other series would live up to what I had already experienced from her. It did, to say the least. I...

It's probably strange to give only a 3.5 when I find myself wanting to buy the next book in the series so badly after I finish the previous one. I've actually read the first three now, but am, honestly, only placing a review here because of the Amazon reminder email. If you have read the first, this book follow pretty much directly after, to continue the story of Dex and Perry (plus family). While I do find myself very much into the books themselves, I am fairly consistently \"brought out\" of...
