My Enemy's Boyfriend by Linda Kage is book two in her series The Seven. The main characters in this series are seven childhood friends (and their significant others) bonded by shared trauma and unfailing loyalty. Faith is kinda obsessed with Hudson, but he doesn't know she exists. On top of that he is dating her arch-enemy Genesis. Their paths collides and Hudson is instantly taken with Faith. He is only dating Genesis to keep his job. On top of that a ghost. I love this book. I love the nickname he has for Faith and that he got her a cat. I love how easily she slides in to the group and I really hate Genesis. I hate bullies and she is a top tier bully. Love that despite all the opportunities available...

It was good but not great

It was good but not great. I didn't really like Faith, I don't think she was a good fit for Hudson, they seemed a little forced. I am glad I read the first book before reading this one. This book was underwhelming compared to the first, it felt boring until the last couple of chapters. I will give the third book a go and hope it invokes more feelings/interest from me. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. )

I absolutely devoured this story. I loved Hudson and Faith so much. I also really really loved the supernatural themes running through this story (and this series so far). It’s unexpected, but enthralling and I find myself compulsively flipping pages to find out what happens next. The chemistry between Hudson and Faith was so much fun to read.
