60 Seconds Between Worlds: A Love Story Beyond Death (60 Seconds Forever Book 2)

by Linda Kage
Faith has spent years watching from the sidelines as her arch-nemesis, Genesis Gusano, systematically strips away everything she holds dear. From stolen belongings to academic sabotage, Genesis has made Faith’s life at Haverick University a living hell. But when Genesis sets her sights on the one person Faith secretly craves—the quiet, culinary-focused Hudson Ivey—the war between them shifts from petty rivalry to something far more sinister.
This gripping installment of The Seven series blends a classic enemies-to-lovers dynamic with a chilling paranormal twist. Hudson is merely a pawn in Genesis’s cruel game until a malevolent entity from his past decides to stake a claim. As a supernatural possession begins to consume Hudson, the boundaries between the living and the dead blur, forcing Faith to abandon her dreams of a normal life.
If you are looking for an academy romance packed with high stakes and spectral danger, this story delivers a unique edge. Faith must confront her own complicated past to save the man she has always admired from a fate worse than death. It is a haunting, fast-paced journey where the greatest threat isn't just a bitter rival, but the dark forces lurking within the halls of their university.

My Enemy's Boyfriend by Linda Kage is book two in her series The Seven. The main characters in this series are seven childhood friends (and their significant others) bonded by shared trauma and unfailing loyalty. The Seven is the second New Adult/Contemporary romance series I have read by this author; the first being the intense and touching Forbidden Men series (check it out). The paranormal aspect of My Enemy's Boyfriend adds an intriguing layer of gravitas and ratchets up the tension quite...

Faith is kinda obsessed with Hudson, but he doesn't know she exists. On top of that he is dating her arch-enemy Genesis. Their paths collides and Hudson is instantly taken with Faith. He is only dating Genesis to keep his job. On top of that a ghost. I love this book. I love the nickname he has for Faith and that he got her a cat. I love how easily she slides in to the group and I really hate Genesis. I hate bullies and she is a top tier bully. Love that despite all the opportunities available...

It was good but not great. I didn't really like Faith, I don't think she was a good fit for Hudson, they seemed a little forced. I am glad I read the first book before reading this one. This book was underwhelming compared to the first, it felt boring until the last couple of chapters. I will give the third book a go and hope it invokes more feelings/interest from me. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. )

Funny, sassy, sexy and touching. Loved it! \"...let me tell you, darlin', I think you and I are going to be great friends.\" Faith Woods was kinda obsessed with Hudson Ivey, but he didn't even know she existed. Which was just as well, as he was her arch-enemy's boyfriend. However, things aren't really quite what they seem. When Faith and Hudson's paths finally collide, Hudson is taken with this young woman who his friends keep saying has a massive crush on him. He's curious as well as...

I absolutely devoured this story. I loved Hudson and Faith so much. I also really really loved the supernatural themes running through this story (and this series so far). It’s unexpected, but enthralling and I find myself compulsively flipping pages to find out what happens next. The chemistry between Hudson and Faith was so much fun to read. I adored Hudson’s playful side, and the banter between these two was top tier. I also loved how they stuck together when the storyline veered into more...
