60 Seconds Between Worlds: A Love Story Beyond Death (60 Seconds Forever Book 2)

by Karina Halle
Perry Palomino has faced down skinwalkers and survived brushes with death, but her greatest challenge is not a ghost—it is a week spent trapped in a Seattle apartment with her partner, Dex, and his picture-perfect girlfriend, Jennifer. As a ghost hunter, Perry is used to navigating the paranormal, yet she is entirely unprepared for the suffocating tension of domestic proximity to the man she secretly loves.
This installment of the Experiment in Terror series marks a gripping departure from the previous adventures, trading expansive supernatural hunts for an intense, character-driven slow burn. While the atmospheric ghost story remains, the true horror lies in the emotional stakes. A malicious spirit from Dex’s shady past begins to manifest, blurring the lines between external threats and the internal wreckage of a fractured heart.
If you are looking for a paranormal romance that refuses to play it safe, this series is your next obsession. It masterfully balances heart-pounding terror with the agonizing ache of unrequited love. As the lies mount and the spirits close in, Perry must confront the truth before she loses everything. Prepare to be hooked; once you enter this world, there is no turning back.

ch-ch-ch-ch-changesssss... To start, this book is almost a complete departure from the previous 3.5 novels. Picking up on the heavy relationship aspects of Dead Sky Morning, Lying Season is most assuredly aptly named and takes the emotional and relationship aspect of the series a step further than its predecessor. Once again we change locale here. This time it's off to Seattle, Dex's personal stomping grounds. Dex has gotten them into a local mental hospital that has never given permission to...

* Warning ~ mild spoilers may occur here * The Experiment in Terror series just gets better and better. Seriously, I need more stars...five is no longer enough. They have gotten progressively more terrifying, more emotional, sexier, funnier and heartbreaking. Lying Season takes the filming of EIT to Seattle, Dexs' hometown. Perry has been invited to stay with Dex and his girlfriend Jen. Perry, being in love with Dex, thinks this a horrible idea but can't afford any other option. I was actually...

I got sucked into this series and boy am I glad that I took the chance on Dark House. It was free and I thought, why not? Best free download to date, hands down. This book was interesting, as all the other books in the series have been. But while I have given all the prior books 5 stars, I give this one 4. I felt like the story was mostly centered around the romance and lost some of the paranormal plot that I have come to know and love. First off, I really dislike Dex and have since book one. I...

I have said it before and I'll say it again, these books just keep getting better and better. The characters are so well written and draw me in so much, the horror aspects are a lesser B storyline for me. I need to know what is going to happen between Perry and Dex instead! In this book Perry is put in the most of extreme uncomfortable situations. She must spend a week with Dex and his girlfriend Jenn in Seattle. After what transpired between Dex and Perry on the island this trip can not be an...
