Eldrith Manor

by Lynn Kurland
From New York Times bestselling author Lynn Kurland comes the reissue of four classic novellas . . .
In The Gift of Christmas Past, a feline guardian angel leads his mistress back in time to a night long ago where she finds her own knight in shining armor. Next, a Scottish nobleman drifts off in a 13th-century dungeon only to awaken in a 20th-century Manhattan bridal salon—and the arms of a beautiful designer—in And the Groom Wore Tulle. Then, a quaint Tudor inn welcomes The Three Wise Ghosts who engage in some haunted matchmaking to bring together a free-wheeling American and a business-obsessed British executive. Finally, in The Icing on the Cake, opposites do indeed attract when a Manhattan writer warms the heart of a wilderness guide who’s more interested in fending off grizzlies than she is in finding true love.

This book is a compilation of several shorter stories. They were all well done I really enjoyed the last one the most because I’ve never read it before fun in Alaska. I enjoyed the whole book. )

I have loved every one of Lynn Kurland’s books I have read (many of them more than once). They have charming characters, love and romance (no sex), some have evil doers doing evil deeds (but, no graphic violence), witty dialogue, some have dogs and cats, time travel, ghosts, no cliffhanger endings, and no editing issues. This book is no exception. Definitely a “curl up in a comfy chair with a cup of tea and enjoy” book. So, enjoy! ) 3 people found this helpful

I do so love the worlds she creates. The de Piaget’s and Macleods have become two of my favorite families and following their escapades across the centuries, one of my favorite pastimes. I so appreciate the magic, and the laughs, and the sweet characters that always bring a smile to my face when I need it. So much goodness packed into 4 short stories! ) 5 people found this helpful

The first story had me laughing out loud! The other stories were imaginative as well! Experiences you would never have in your lifetime! The way Kurland writes has you remembering those experiences months later!!! If your a Jane Austen fan and you like fiesty characters and a story that has you smiling, laughing at times and melts the heart: then you'll love this book of short stories! )
