60 Seconds Between Worlds: A Love Story Beyond Death (60 Seconds Forever Book 2)
R.J. Lumen
by Suzanne Brockmann
History is written by the victors, but the truth has a way of haunting the living. Alison Carter spent her career cementing the legend of U.S. Marshal Silas Quinn, the hero of the infamous 1898 Red Rock shootout. Now, serving as a consultant on a Hollywood film adaptation, she expects a routine job. Instead, she meets A.J. Gallagher, a man whose arrival in Jubilation, Arizona, threatens to dismantle everything she knows about the American West.
A.J. is a man running from his past, burdened by a history of trauma and a spectral passenger only he can see. The ghost of his great-grandfather, Jamie Gallagher, is desperate to clear his name, insisting that the heroic Marshal Quinn was actually the story’s true villain. Caught between his fear of mental instability and the undeniable presence of an ancestor who refuses to rest, A.J. finds an unlikely anchor in the brilliant, skeptical Alison.
Blending a dark, atmospheric historical mystery with a second-chance romance, this paranormal tale explores the blurred lines between memory and myth. As the boundaries between the past and present collapse, Alison and A.J. must navigate a dangerous truth that could destroy their reputations—and perhaps their hearts. If you crave a story where ghosts demand justice and love defies the grave, this is your next obsession.

I am not going to rehash the plot here, as that has already been done. And with all due respect to those who reviewed this book badly on the counts of poorly developed characters, etc., wow! You must be fun to know in real life if you demand that depth of knowledge in everyone you meet! Be forewarned, y'all by many standards this review is going to seem very superficial Since I have read this book twice and listened to it on audio twice and have thoroughly enjoyed it all four times, I can say...

Brockmann went back to her Harlequin roots with this novel. I found it to be truly delightful and a great summer read. A.J. Gallagher has been pestered by the ghost of his great-grandfather Jaime Gallagher (who only A.J. Can see) to go to Arizona and set the record straight to Professor Alison Carter who is the historical consultant on a new film about Quinn a sheriff in the old west. Silas Quinn is lauded as a true american hero and Jaime is defamed as a murderer and bank robber who kidnapped...

I've never read anything by Suzanne Brockmann before though I had heard of her. I think one of the things that drew me to this book was that it was a stand alone. Once I saw how expansive her work is I was a bit put off. I'm open to new authors but to start a series thats already more then 10 books in was not what I was looking for. And to add to that I'm really not a big fan of the romance genre. Every now and then to cleanse my palette but I would never say I'm a romance reader. Looking into...

Awesome. Great story about the potential romance of Alison the historian and AJ a retired vet and carpenter on a movie set where AJ is questioning the authenticity of the history behind the script. )

Like many others, I've been a Brockmann fan for years. I've read nearly everything she's written. So when Infamous hit the shelves (or my Kindle as the case may be) I eagerly started to read. Before you pick up the book understand there is an element of this story that may or may not be a ghost. I don't want to spoil the effect because it goes to the heart of the main character, AJ. He's a flawed character and lovably so. He fights with demons from his past, the desire to drink and the growing...
