Indigo (For The Love of Purple Book 1)

by Audrey Faye

About this book

A restless Sagittarius with a penchant for astrology, Indigo is a woman who lives by the stars, but she never expected them to align in the sleepy coastal town of Perception Bay. Alongside her inseparable best friends, Violet and Blue, she finds her life veering off course when a simple road trip leads to a fated encounter with a man named Drew. He is haunted by an inexplicable, hollow ache he cannot name, a longing that only a connection to the unknown can satisfy.

This gentle paranormal romance serves as the perfect escape for readers seeking comfort and whimsy. While the pacing is intentionally slow and meditative, the story is anchored by the charm of a matchmaking ghost who lingers in the wings, orchestrating a collision of souls that feels both inevitable and magical. It is a slow-burn journey about finding home when you least expect it.

Written as a soothing balm for the soul, this story leans into the cozy side of the supernatural. If you are looking for a heartfelt read where friendship, fate, and spectral intervention intertwine, this is the perfect addition to your shelf. Let the atmosphere of Perception Bay wash over you in this enchanting start to the For The Love of Purple trilogy.

Indigo

Indigo Indigo is an astrologer with a wondering soul. Her latest trip leads her to a small costal town by the name of Perception Bay. And a turn around the corner brings her face to face with a store. A store that she has seen many times in the art of one of her best friends. A place they have been looking for decades. When Blue and Violet arrive they have to decide if they are ready to make their dream a reality. Violet already feels at home. Empathic and a little telepathic, Perception Bay is...

This woman... And this man...

Audrey is an amazingly talented artist. She draws me so deep into her worlds that it is sometimes jarring when something interupts my reading and I have to drag myself back to reality. She's basically brilliant. This new world of hers is as wonderful as her others and I plan to revisit it often, after I finish the others in this series of course. I'm hoping that there will be more than just the the three books. I can't wait to read Blue's story next and am going to download it as soon as I...

Gentle pleasant read

As a ghost mountain addict, I am biased. I have finished half of Indigo and can say the plot isn't going anywhere very fast. Just a pleasant time spent with Indigo, Blue, Violet, and Drew. You can put it down, do something else, and come back. I think that is what Ms. Faye intended for a lockdown book. Since I am tired of urban fantasy, it works fine to relax you. I use if for a bed time read before dropping off to sleep. No nightmares. Enough nightmares are out there in the real world. I...

Another Must Read!

In typical Audrey Faye fashion, this was a beautiful story full of so much that tugged on my heart, in a beautiful and good way. This was a story my soul needed, one of quiet hope, love, strength, friendship, and of a family made up of those you chose. It also featured a small group of intriguing supporting characters from the town, I am hoping we see a lot more of Hamish, and a dog that I don’t think I can get enough of by the name of Gruesome. This is a must read in my book, it’s simply...

Start of a wonderful new Audrey Faye trilogy

December 11, 2020

As a big fan of Audrey Faye's work, I was a little concerned when she shared with her list that she was taking a break from her last series (Ghost Mountain Shifters) due to the demands of the pandemic...but that she was inspired to write something a bit lighter. She did not disappoint. This was exactly what I needed. And in true Audrey Faye fashion - this is a book I read in two sittings and a book I am sure to go back to - to read again more slowly. She introduces a trio of friends and a cast...
