I must admit, when the ending was revealed, I realized how perfectly the beginning foreshadowed what was to follow... But what a satisfying ride! It's got romance, mystery, suspense, action... And a few surprises, too. )

A review copy was provided for an honest review. Immortal Eclipse is an interesting paranormal mystery novel. I found it very appealing and appreciated the detailed writing style although it was a little too descriptive at times. The main character Skylar is daring and determined to find out the truth behind her uncle's untimely death. I tend to judge romance a bit harsher than other genres because I do read a lot of romances. I look for things in my romances that break the mold, that show me something new. While there was some really good writing in this story, it was more or less exactly what I expected, no more and no less. The lead character, Skyler, is fine as a romance heroine. Immortal Eclipse is Pet Semetary meets Picture of Dorian Grey meets Charmed. Three of this reviewer's favorites. Expertly written in first person, present-tense, Ms. Soule weaves the tale of Skylar, her great losses, and Dorian. Given that great personal loss has found them both, it's no wonder they're seriously attracted to one another! HEAT INDEX: 1 out of 5. Some steamy kisses, heavy petting...nothing to write home about.
