Heaven Can Wait: a sparkling supernatural romantic comedy

by Cally Taylor

About this book

A fabulously warm, funny and romantic novel that will have you laughing and crying in equal measure.

Lucy is about to marry the man of her dreams - kind, handsome, funny Dan - when she breaks her neck the night before their wedding. Unable to accept a lifetime's separation from her soulmate, Lucy decides to become a ghost rather than go to heaven and be parted from Dan.

But it turns out things aren't quite as easy as that. In order to become a ghost and be with Dan Lucy has to complete an almost impossible task.

How on earth can she find a girlfriend for the dorkiest man alive? IT geek Archie's only passions are multi-player computer games and his Grandma. But Lucy only has twenty-one days to find him love.

And when she discovers that her so-called friend Anna is determined to make a move on the heart-broken, vulnerable Dan, the pressure is really on...

Another winner!

This is the second Cally Taylor romance I've read, after loving her thrillers and her romance Send Me an Angel. Heaven Can Wait is another brilliant read, sweet, funny, and sad in places. I'm so glad I discovered this author's romance writing and can't wait to read more! )

If Jane Austin and Mark Twain had a baby, it would be this book

When British crime novelist Cally Taylor (writing as C.L. Taylor) turns her eye on the romance genre, there's bound to be a twist. In Heaven Can Wait, the protagonist is dead — and still swooning over her still-living boyfriend. How she resolves her dilemma (by playing matchmaker to one of the oddest couples this side of Neil Simon) makes for a rollicking, side-splitting read. Highly recommended! )
