Heaven Can Wait: a sparkling supernatural romantic comedy

by Cally Taylor

About this book

Lucy is on the verge of marrying the man of her dreams when a freak accident changes everything. Instead of heading to the afterlife, she chooses to linger as a ghost, desperate to stay by her fiancé Dan’s side. However, the path to haunting her own life isn’t straightforward. To earn her place as his spectral guardian, she must complete a seemingly impossible mission: finding a girlfriend for Archie, the world’s most socially awkward IT geek, within just twenty-one days.

This delightful supernatural romantic comedy masterfully blends humor with a touch of heartbreak. As Lucy navigates the afterlife, she discovers that playing matchmaker for a gaming-obsessed recluse is far more challenging than she anticipated. Complicating matters further, her devious friend Anna is already circling the grieving Dan, turning Lucy’s race against time into a high-stakes emotional battle.

If you love the fated-mates trope and are looking for a story that balances witty banter with genuine, swoon-worthy romance, this is your next obsession. It is a sparkling, inventive read that proves soulmates can transcend even death. Perfect for fans of paranormal romance, this charming tale will keep you laughing, crying, and rooting for love from beyond the grave.

Another winner!

This is the second Cally Taylor romance I've read, after loving her thrillers and her romance Send Me an Angel. Heaven Can Wait is another brilliant read, sweet, funny, and sad in places. I'm so glad I discovered this author's romance writing and can't wait to read more! )

If Jane Austin and Mark Twain had a baby, it would be this book

When British crime novelist Cally Taylor (writing as C.L. Taylor) turns her eye on the romance genre, there's bound to be a twist. In Heaven Can Wait, the protagonist is dead — and still swooning over her still-living boyfriend. How she resolves her dilemma (by playing matchmaker to one of the oddest couples this side of Neil Simon) makes for a rollicking, side-splitting read. Highly recommended! )
