60 Seconds Between Worlds: A Love Story Beyond Death (60 Seconds Forever Book 2)
R.J. Lumen
by Megan Bowen
Rae Alderwood has spent her entire life trying to hide her identity as a medium, preferring the quiet solitude of her aunt’s occult shop to the messy demands of the living. She is perfectly content to keep her distance from romance until her sister pushes her into the dating world. When she matches with the charming Dean Crawford, she finally finds a spark worth pursuing. However, the connection is cut short when Dean abruptly stops responding, leaving Rae to assume she has simply been ghosted.
The situation takes a supernatural turn when Dean reappears, only to reveal that he is now a spirit. As a reluctant medium, Rae must set aside her reservations to help him uncover the truth behind his untimely death. This paranormal romance masterfully blends high-stakes mystery with a delightful second-chance trope, exploring a bond that defies the boundaries between life and death.
Perfect for readers seeking a spooky yet swoon-worthy escape, this story balances tension with genuine humor. As Rae and Dean navigate the dangerous mystery surrounding his passing, they must also grapple with an undeniable attraction that defies the laws of nature. Will they solve the riddle of his demise before time runs out for them both?

Such a fun romance! I didn’t think I was a fan of paranormal romance, but after reading Megan’s debut this year, she became an auto-buy author for me. Rae and Dean are positively delightful and this was a warm, comforting read perfect for spooky season! )

I really enjoyed this book. There were some pretty funny moments with the ghosts. Rae becoming more comfortable as a medium was great. I hope the next book from Ravenwood is Wren and Julien. )

Ghosted by Megan Bowen is a masterpiece of contemporary literature and my reason for saying so is heavily objective, thank you very much. My reasoning is simple: Rae is me and I am Rae. I have never before felt so seen as a millennial woman who grew up fat and mentally ill in a judgmental town in the mid-2000s. I may be projecting a bit, but I believe in my bones Ms Bowen knows this struggle well. This kind of representation only comes with lived experience. Everything Dean said to Rae hit home...
