Ghostly Good Read

My son introduced me to this author because she wrote about my home state and her mysteries involved ghosts. He knew I would love it, and 17+ books later I have to admit he was right. Although I never lived in the Freeport area, I know of it, and somehow that makes all the mysteries more real for me! In this latest one, the scandal about modified corn and safety issues about eating meat that had fed on it was very interesting. The mystery of the actual murder was well plotted and I was...

Mary O'Reilly is planning not only a Thanksgiving feast for her family and friends but also a surprise party for Clarissa...her first birthday with Bradley and Mary. Mary soon becomes involved in learning who...

The Mary O'Reilly books are one of my favorite series to read. The characters are interesting, strong and have a little humor thrown in for good measure. The fact that Mary is able to help the dead to cross over gives the stories more substance. This one even threw in a colony of ghost rats that, at first, I thought a little strange, but it came together well. I read this one quickly and am waiting for the next in the series. Thank you to Terri Reid and her enormous gift. )
