Would he save her or be her damnation?
Hounded by a necromancer hellbent on appropriating her ancestral lands, Ronika must recover an ancient relic from a cursed mansion to keep her enemy at bay. To do so, she requires an escort. Convincing an enraged wraith to help seems like an impossible task. But she discovers that the being behind the billowing shadows is an honorable protector who moves her in an unexpected fashion.
After centuries of terrorizing the land while lost to madness, Asheron cannot believe this fragile human, with her weak green magic, has managed to bring back his sanity. Ronika’s incredible strength, fearless determination, and the gentle way she touches him soothes the monster he has become and awakens a powerful longing and possessiveness in him. But she does not realize the deadliness of the deal she has struck to defend her land.
He will stop at nothing to protect the woman who has claimed his heart. But will Asheron’s efforts bring about Ronika’s salvation or doom them both?

A hot romance, cloaked in gothic horror. Beware the Shadow Flayers, the bile spawns, and so much more! Ronika is so incredibly brave, her determination to prevail over the necromancer leads her into more danger than I could imagine. I love Asheron! He is continually going above and beyond his obligations to Ronika. Their’s is a most unusual romance; I love the way it plays out. I liked the twists and turns along the way. It’s a splendid love story that I’m sure you’ll enjoy, especially if you...

I love Regine Abel she is one of the best storytellers out there. Her world building is detailed and draws the reader into a whole new world very quickly. Characters have depth and so much personality when you hate them you hate the a DJ when you love them you really love them. This new world is no exception. It has an otherworldly feel, where magic is used and demi gods and monsters walk among us. It feels like the 1800's just before surge of technology, but where magic is common place. Ronika...

This spicy tale of suffering and redemption through selfless love put into action. This newest short story by Regine Abel has suspense, intrigue, spicy romance, and heartfelt moments. I always appreciate and look forward to the various cultures and folklore infused in Abel's work of art. There were times it was a little slow, but the storyline and characters had me finishing this book in 5.50 hours over a few days. I look forward to reading other books in the Shadow Realms. )

I was initially a fan of her Prime Mating Agency series and thought I'd give this one a go too. I was not disappointed. Although this book had a bit more drama than the PMA ones typically have, the main difference was that this was more of a fantasy genre than the scifi of the other series. There's a level of steampunk, though it's blended with magic too. She still pulls off the deep characters I love her for and the male characters who are often a little feral. This is certainly the start to...

This was different read for me. It was not bad, just hard to finish. I could not get into this story and usually it takes me a day to read one of her books, but I keep putting it down. This one was ok read. ) One person found this helpful
