Designing Hell: Ghost Vs Angel Book One

About this book

Tom Foster was Dead.

His teen soul hacks into the eternal database to find a handsome, troubled man about to take his own life. Tom borrows the large man’s mortal coil and returns to the living world.

With a second chance at life, the coder gains access to the eternal database. Through a pair of smart glasses, he can see everyone’s Scorecard floating above their heads.

Positive numbers send folks to heaven. Negative numbers send sinners to hell. What happens when someone dies with a score of zero?

In order to design his own eternity, Tom must find a soul who died with a score of zero. If he couldn’t find one, he would have to make one.

With only seven days left on his Death Clock, Tom’s mission is to bank up enough good memories to enjoy in heaven, and score enough points to avoid hell.

Game On.

What Would My Score Be?

February 17, 2024

Now here’s a novel storyline. Is it simply science fiction or a statement on the challenges of living through Covid and the current political polarization of the U.S.? With some similarities to the movie “Defending your Life”, this is a new slant on the concept of what happens to you after you die. In all it is an eminently readable first novel by Levi Drop, with some thought-provoking concepts along the way. Evidently the Universe runs on human power. It doesn’t seem to matter if you are a...

A Unique and Captivating Tale of the Afterlife

January 23, 2024

\"Designing Hell: Ghost Vs Angel Book One\" is a gripping exploration of the afterlife like no other. Author Levi Drop has crafted a story that is both inventive and thought-provoking, and I couldn't put it down. The concept of an afterlife where your actions in life determine your fate is both intriguing and original. The idea of a Scorecard, where positive and negative deeds dictate whether you end up in heaven or hell, sets the stage for a thrilling adventure. What happens when someone's...

New twist

April 25, 2025

I'll give points for creativity, I've never read anything like this. Definitely not my style, but nobody can call me a quitter. Not for anyone who dislikes explicit content (wish there was a warning), believes in God, so pretty much not for me. The idea is novel, a kid gets offed and ends up coding the Afterlife and then hacking it. Like I said, not my taste. Otherwise good and well written )

Sometimes You Design Your Own Second Chance

Tom, a fifteen-year-old computer nerd, dies before he's ready and becomes a conscript in the Afterlife Army. Dissatisfied, he hacks his way into a second life, where he meets Sarah, a ghost, and rescues Mary from the hell he designed for her. Levi Drop provides readers with an exciting blend of action, revenge, romance, and redemption. He weaves current events and attitudes seamlessly into the narrative. The characters are realistic, the world is well built and consistent, and (after the...

A 5-Star Imaginative Twist on the Afterlife. Brilliant!

January 29, 2024

“Designing Hell\" is an unputdownable and thought-provoking whirlwind of a read. The story follows Tom, the protagonist, on an unforgettable journey through life. And through death. The concept of a Scorecard dictating heavenly or hellish fates, combined with a ticking Death Clock, keeps the plot both creative and gripping. Blending fantasy, revenge, and romance, the seven-day countdown adds urgency to a brilliantly written narrative. It’s a riveting exploration about life, death, and the...
