60 Seconds Between Worlds: A Love Story Beyond Death (60 Seconds Forever Book 2)

Opal just wanted a viral video for her paranormal channel, but a botched ritual left her tethered to a sharp-tongued, vape-smoking Grim Reaper. Cain, the original wanderer of eternity, is now forced to stay within arm’s reach of a pink-haired mortal who is far more trouble than she is worth. As a dark, witty paranormal romance, this story masterfully balances the snarky tension of an accidental blood-magic bond with the weight of ancient, historical stakes.
Cain has spent centuries reaping souls in isolation, viewing humanity with a cynical, punk-rock detachment. Yet, as the proximity forces an unlikely intimacy between them, the ice around his hollow chest begins to thaw. Their chemistry is electric, fueled by humor and a shared defiance against the inevitable. It is a slow-burn connection that feels both dangerous and fated, proving that even Death isn't immune to the chaos of a beating heart.
When an ancient evil threatens to shatter the fragile veil between life and death, the stakes shift from survival to sacrifice. Cain must decide if he is willing to break the fundamental laws of existence to protect the one woman who makes him feel tethered to the living world. Dark, violent, and deeply addictive, this is the perfect read for those craving a romance where the hero is literally the end of the line.

4.5 stars This dark paranormal romance was fantastic! It’s got humor, violence, and a chase scene. If you want to fall in love with Death, check it out. What happens when a human accidentally binds herself to Death? He tries to kill her, of course. Uh-oh, he can’t. Now what? What follows is a banter-filled tale where Death is a not-so-nice guy, though he does want to save the world. If only so the snarky woman he’s tied to can keep living in it. This started out crazy good, and it didn’t let...

I like led this book. DID NOT like most of the characters though. Cain and Opal were great and super funny and honestly so was Abel, but the rest were definitely NOT great. I absolutely loathed them. Good story line though. One thing could have been better, how naive Opal was. )

This book was PHENOMENAL, I was a little iffy at first but after I got to about 1/3 of the way I was hooked. I don't do spoiler reviews but this book has everything you want, real reapers, real d3ath, incredible world building that's not too much. I wish it was longer, Opal and Deaths love story is SO incredibly beautiful. I tuned the world out for this book, I couldn't take my eyes away from the pages and that meant something to me. It's hard for me to find books that capture my attention the...

Dear Death had no business being this seductive, this funny, and this emotionally rude all at the same time. I picked it up expecting vibes. I got vibes, tension, yearning, and a personal attack wrapped in poetic prose. Ariel Brouillette writes attraction like a slow, deliberate touch. The kind that lingers. The kind that makes you mutter “okay wow” and then keep reading faster. Death is dark, alluring, and carries that dangerous calm that makes fictional red flags look like invitations. Every...
