I enjoyed this book a lot. It kind of reminded me of a Rapunzel retelling but instead of hair, it was power. Instead of an evil step mother, there's loving parents. Instead of a knight in shining armor, there's a very dangerous vampire, a curious fallen angel, and a naughty ghost. Ends on a cliffhanger, so be ready to dive into book 2. )

This book just blew me away. We have a murder mystery, a fallen angel learning about well everything, a girl who has never been allowed to interact with anyone but family, and a possessive alpha male who takes what he wants. Oh, and let's not forget a new school that's just dark. I absolutely loved it and couldn't stop reading. Isodel maybe sheltered, but she is definitely not going to let anyone push her around now that she gets to see what she has been missing out on. ) 2 people found this...

I’m in a 50/50 mode with this book. I enjoyed a couple of the characters and thought they had huge potential and some what was let down. The first half of the book mfc and another mmc was on repeat with their questions, which got annoying about a quarter through the book. And things that just don’t make sense (even for a book) the parents go mia and there’s worry but they only try one time to reach out. The brother is barely in the book after all that time apart and by words he’s very...

Wow…I was hooked from the start of this book! Obsessed mates, vampires and spicy. Told from all POV. Each character was interesting and compelling in their own ways.
