60 Seconds Between Worlds: A Love Story Beyond Death (60 Seconds Forever Book 2)

by Lilly Mance
Lyra has spent her entire life as a silent observer of the spirit world, able to see ghosts who never knew she existed. That solitary existence shatters the moment she meets Zack. He is not a typical restless spirit; he is a man trapped in a state of limbo, tethered to Lyra by an inexplicable force that pulls him back whenever he wanders too far. For the first time, a ghost can see her, touch her, and challenge everything she knows about life and the afterlife.
The mystery deepens when they realize Zack is not actually dead. His physical body lies in a coma in the distant future, vulnerable and fading. As they navigate this supernatural connection, their bond evolves into a fierce, forbidden romance that defies the boundaries of time and space. They must race against the ticking clock of his survival, searching for a way to bridge the gap between his hospital bed and her reality before his life is extinguished forever.
Lilly Mance masterfully blends New Adult intensity with a haunting paranormal premise. This standalone novel is perfect for readers craving a high-stakes romance where love is the only thing keeping reality from unraveling.

New Adult is all the rage right now, and paranormal fans seem to be growing in number, also. Well, Mance had this awesome idea of blending the two genres together, and a masterpiece is born. If the inriguing, one-of-a-kind storyline doesn't grab your attention, the well-developed characters surely will. They're the entire reason why the plot thickens in its own time which results in sheer entertainment, and will hold readers interests until we sadly must come to an end. The budding romance...

I was surprised to see this marketed as an 'adult' novel. Basically, it's a young adult novel with a lot of sex in it. It would have been better to tone down the sex and obscenities and keep it as a YA novel, as that's clearly the target audience. The concept is an interesting one, but the pacing of the book is uneven. Towards the end, we get a bunch of new characters introduced, and from that point on, I kept going 'HUH?' because I couldn't keep it straight if they were good guys, bad guys, or...

4 1/2 stars. I really liked the book and characters. Im a fan of supernatural/paranormal things, and this one was no different. The only problem I had was the wrong usage/spelling of some words. Yap for yup(i think?). out of the bloom(instead of blue), and a few more. Overall, a good story and I would like to read more. ) One person found this helpful

What a fascinating adventure this story takes you on. Lyra the main character in this story is a delight! Not the airheaded teen most stories are made of. Lyra is smart and lovable! Her character was easy to fall in love with. Zach, another character you find yourself falling in love with is a time traveler. In one life is in a coma. But he has the ability to travel forward in time to visit with Lyra. At first Lyra thinks Zack is her stalker ghost. After a while they end up falling in love. And then...

First and foremost, I did not read this entire novel. If a plot is intriguing and characterization adequate, I'll stick with a story despite a minimal amount of SPAG (errors involving Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar), but if the story is trite, and the prose weak, I'm high-tailing it back to my Paperwhite's home screen. When I saw that this plot was based on time travel, I said UH OH, because there seems to be a spate of these time travel plots where the author says it happens, and the...
