60 Seconds Between Worlds: A Love Story Beyond Death (60 Seconds Forever Book 2)

by Stephen Osborne
Private detective Duncan Andrews has spent his career navigating the shadows of a world where the supernatural is just another day at the office. Backed by his formidable witch partner Gina, his devoted boyfriend Robbie, and Daisy, their fiercely loyal zombie bulldog, Duncan usually manages to keep the chaos at bay. But in this pulse-pounding sixth installment, the stakes shift from bizarre to apocalyptic when a high-stakes investigation draws the attention of the demon Asmodeus.
The danger doesn't stop with hellish entities. A vengeful Gorgon is hunting Duncan, seeking retribution for her sister’s death, and she won’t rest until he is turned to stone. As the walls close in, Duncan and his team must push their powers and their bonds of loyalty to the limit to survive a collision between ancient mythology and modern-day malice.
For fans of urban fantasy, this series perfectly balances heart-thudding action with the kind of slow-burn paranormal romance that keeps you turning pages late into the night. It is a sharp, sexy, and spooky ride that delivers emotional depth alongside its supernatural thrills. If you are looking for your next obsession, dive into this witty, fast-paced world where love and ghosts collide in the most dangerous ways.

I have loved all the Duncan Andrews books, but I think Cold as the Clay is my absolute favorite. Man, Stephen Osborne can write. Funny, sexy, spooky, romantic, and always laced with heart-thudding action -- his books have everything. If you appreciate good story telling and beautiful writing, pick this book up and give it a chance. I think you'll be surprised by how really, really good it is. )

This was one of the best in the series. Just love the characters and the way they interract. Tone and pace were quick and fun. Heartily recommended! ) One person found this helpful

As much as I loved the first five books, this one didn't live up to its predecessors, for me at least. I was irritated with dual narrative style used, especially with the character given the second voice. Would have preferred alternating voice of Duncan and Robbie or even Duncan and Casey. Baddies were one dimensional, especially Anton. Oh yeah and two concurrent subplots where the first one introduced just gets left abandoned after all hell breaks loose. Very different from the earlier books,...

I was really looking forward to a new book in this series. And the sixth installment didn't disappoint. Though with two high profile cases presented in the book, it was a fast read and felt more like an intermezzo for the things to come. )
