Oscar is just a guy trying to survive a curse that makes his daily life a series of humiliating supernatural mishaps. As a janitor, he is used to dealing with the grime of the world, but he never expected his latest dumpster dive to result in a literal monster. Meet Eddy, a grouchy, undead bin-spirit who has spent decades haunting the shadows of discarded trash. When their paths collide, an unconventional spark ignites between the cursed human and the spectral outcast.
This paranormal romance masterfully blends laugh-out-loud humor with a surprisingly tender core. While the premise leans into the absurd, the story evolves into a touching slow-burn exploration of two broken souls finding solace in one another. It is the perfect pick for readers who enjoy a unique twist on the classic haunted-romance trope, offering a refreshing departure from standard supernatural fare.
Beyond the quirky, trash-themed antics, this second-chance story captures the ache of longing and the messy reality of healing. It is a deceptively emotional journey that proves even those discarded by society deserve a shot at love. If you are looking for a queer ghost story that manages to be both delightfully weird and deeply heartfelt, this unconventional romance is waiting for you.

Readers journey into Eddy’s past and learn the truth about what made him the bin spirit he is now. We also dig deeper into Oscar's history and the curse that plagues him. The story is a deeper look at loving ourselves and others for who we are. To understand that being broken or different doesn't mean we are...

The way this story had me sobbing was unexpected. Silly premise turned heartfelt longing between two broken men. )

This book has an interesting premise, and it has the potential to be a fun, quirky book. It falls short on the execution, though. The emotional beats of the story fell flat for me since the characters were underdeveloped to the point that they felt incomplete. This book needed a lot more work and maybe another 150 or so pages to be really good, I think. It has the outline of loveable characters and a moving storyline without enough detail or finesse to make them come to life and compel the way...

this is a cute, campy, trash filled read. “you just need someone who sees you. really sees you. and sometimes, miraculously, that someone crawls out of a bin.” )
