Broken Dreams: Because Love is Stronger Than Death (Beyond Series Book 2)

by Andrea Smith

About this book

Parrish is back, and she is trading the neon glow of the eighties for the groovy, bell-bottomed chaos of 1974. As a supernatural mediator for stalled souls, she has been tasked with her first solo flight: helping Cece Adams, a cheerleader who never made it to her boyfriend’s Valentine’s Day gig. After a tragic car accident left her life cut short, Cece remains trapped in a limbo of unfinished business, desperate to deliver news that could have changed everything for her and her rocker love, Erik Laughlin.

If you are a fan of paranormal romance that tugs at the heartstrings, this installment is your next obsession. Smith masterfully balances the grief of a love cut short with the thrill of an otherworldly mission. The narrative weaves through time, blending the nostalgic aesthetic of the seventies with a haunting, ghostly mystery. As Parrish navigates the past to reconcile a broken heart, she finds herself entangled in more than just a mission; one relationship fizzles while a new, unexpected connection sizzles.

Prepare for a journey that is as emotionally resonant as it is supernatural. With its unique take on the afterlife and a touch of forbidden romance, this story proves that even death cannot silence a love meant to be heard.

GREAT 2nd BOOK!

January 1, 2015

I loved this 2nd installment of the \"In Limbo\" series! Andrea Smith delivers a great double tale...she uniquely wraps two tales into one story, both captivating in their own right. While I liked Silent Whisper, I found so much more this this read! This read developed the characters more, provided a better double tale of interest, and brought the sexy heat! Parrish Locke has found herself with a new family. She is connecting with her real dad and her \"crossed over Ma.\" Both giving support to...

This is such a great series! The first book Silent Whisper blew me away with the concept and it only got better in Clouds In My Coffee . In the first book we find out Parrish has a gift of not only communicating with the dead but to actually living and experiencing their life up until their death. The majority of the first book was in the past with just a small amount in the present but in this one we get more time with Parrish and get to meet a very sexy FBI agent. One of the best parts of...

Book one of this series was really good but book two was great! Cece and Eric's story hurt my heart. Parrish's gift really shown in this book and Hello Marco! I was really excited to see an old friend and my fav male agent make an appearance 😍 The development in plot and characters kept me engaged and I couldn't wait for all to be revealed! Great Job Andrea! )

Clouds In My Coffee Review So after reading Silent Whisper and LOVING it just like all of Andrea’s books I was pumped to see Book two come out. Well I just finished it and yes I mean JUST. Once again I am left whipping the tears from my eyes. This was different thought. It was not as hard to guess who the killer was but man did she ever throw in a BIG twist that I NEVER saw coming. Just like last time you get to go on the journey with Parrish but this time you get to go on more then one. Men...

I love this series!!!

If I could I would give 10 stars!!!!! I was giving this book for free. So here is what I think.. you going to need a box of kleenex with all the crying you will have at the end of the book.... WOW....... I love this series. For Parrish trying to help Cece to be able to cross over is no walk in the park. To have the love of your life live a cross the street from you can not be easy for any one. Erik's see Cece ever day with Marshall and see how he treats her . But by the time Cece say No more of...
