About this book

Freddie Lanyon seems to have it all as the heir to the Batheaston earldom, but behind the walls of his elegant stately home, he is suffocating. Burdened by the secret of his sexuality and plagued by persistent, unseen ghosts, Freddie is desperate for a change. When an impulsive antique purchase invites a malevolent force into his life, he has no choice but to reach out to Marcus Spender, a charismatic psychic with a magnetic presence that immediately sparks a deeper connection.

As an uplifting paranormal romance, this story masterfully weaves together the tension of the supernatural with the intimacy of a blossoming gay relationship. The chemistry between the anxious, endearing Freddie and the confident Marcus provides a grounded heartbeat to the eerie, spectral mysteries they must solve together. However, as they delve into the dark, long-buried secrets of the Lanyon estate, they find that exorcising the past is just as difficult as confronting their own truths.

Perfect for readers who enjoy a touch of British charm, this novel balances spooky chills with the warmth of self-discovery. It is a heartfelt exploration of courage, acceptance, and the ghosts we choose to carry, proving that sometimes the bravest thing you can do is let someone in.

A Beautiful Coming Out story

May 10, 2022

The story is well written and gives beautiful tale of being gay, coming out, and an abundance of ghosts. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and can highly recommend it for my friends and family to enjoy. It gave me a wonderful glimpse of being an aristocrat and the ability to see and hear ghosts added to the enjoyment. Thank you for giving us this story. )

It’s Very, Very British.

How good or bad that is, is dependent on how you view British “culture”. Personally, I loved how they spoke, and how, in this story, things just rolls off their backs. Granted, that just went to show how the main character built his reveal into a far bigger deal than it really was. But due to it being so British, you don’t see any sex. Heck, the kisses are barely described. Yes, if you want all that, there are a boat load of books out there with all the juicy details, but this is a romance...

Sweet, but…

I enjoyed the first book in this series well enough to get this second one, and it’s been a bit of a letdown. The characters are good, if a little cliched - Freddie is a sweetie - but the writing feels rushed, slapdash, as if they were in a hurry to get it into print. It’s not bad, but it’s not as good as it could have been. )
