A Phantom Affair

by Kimmie Ferrell

About this book

Emmanuel Jackson is a man governed by cold logic and tangible facts. If he cannot see it, touch it, or measure it, he simply refuses to believe it exists. That is, until he steps into the historic Washington Hotel and encounters a woman who defies every law of nature. For the last six months, she has been his obsession, a lingering presence that refuses to fade, forcing him to confront a reality he spent his entire life denying.

This haunting paranormal romance masterfully explores the boundary between the living and the dead. As Emmanuel’s rigid skepticism crumbles, he finds himself caught in a soul-stirring tug-of-war between his logical past and a spectral future. He must decide if he is willing to risk his sanity for a love that exists outside the constraints of time, or if his disbelief will cost him the only connection that has ever made him feel truly alive.

Kimmie Ferrell delivers an emotionally charged narrative that proves love is not always bound by the physical world. With themes of fated mates and forbidden connection, this story is a must-read for anyone seeking a ghostly romance that pulls at the heartstrings. Prepare to be moved by a tale where the most profound truths are often the ones we cannot see.

Oh the emotions….

May 29, 2024

My eyes still leaking. Idk how Kimmie managed to make me care about these characters so fast but she did. This is outside what we normally get from her and I hope she decided to step into her paranormal romance bag more. This gave ME everything I wanted. I was intrigued, confused, hopeful, devastated and then some…and I felt all these emotions in 150 pages. I don’t know what to tell yall except READ THIS BOOK. Let Emmanuel and Syren share their story with you because it’s a really good one!...

Sometimes What’s Not Seen Is Very Real

November 27, 2024

Often, some will say that love conquers everything- even time. A Phantom Affair is a great example of this belief. Emmanuel Jackson doesn’t believe is things he can’t see but he can’t explain the familiarity to the woman he dreamed about for six months. Then one day, she walks right into his life- out of his dreams- and now he has to take stock that there maybe more to the world than what is seen. Syren has loved Emmanuel in another lifetime and she’s been cursed to walk this realm for a little...

If an envy can kill, love can heal.

This starts off kind of rough. The separation between what’s reality and what’s not is clear but the inner monologue and the MMC’s actions and attitude didn’t line up for me and I was confused more often than not. I think this would have been better in 3rd person omnipresent. And if Elain would have been utilized more. I just didn’t enjoy the fact there was no indication if the curse could be broken. I also think spending more time doing things that rekindled Emmanuel’s feelings instead of...

Love Truly Transcends Time

June 5, 2024

Let me tell you, Kimmie Ferrell is going to take you on a romantic ride that will take you into another dimension when you read A PHANTOM AFFAIR. I loved everything about this great love affair that completely mesmerized me. Emmanuel and the woman of his dreams, Syren, are positively “Soulmates” that transcend time. The backdrop , the Washington Hotel, is the perfect setting for these lovers who come together in spite of an evil presence. It seems that evil also transcends time. Read the story;...

A timeless love story

August 21, 2024

This novella had me hooked from the very beginning, until the last page. AND I STILL WANT MORE. This isn't a \"normal\" paranormal romance. Somehow the author weaved a story that left me invested, confused, screaming with happiness, upset, on the edge of my seat, and emotional. I cried! I didn't know what to expect, and without telling the story, that's all I can say. I hope we see more of this couple as well as Elani and Jacob. )
