A Ghostly Betrayal

by Lynn Ellen

About this book

A haunting vow made in the shadow of World War II sets the stage for a chilling tale of love that refuses to fade. When young sweethearts Katherine and James pledge their eternal devotion, they have no way of knowing that a devastating betrayal will tether their souls to a crumbling estate for decades to come. Their tragic past remains buried until the present day, when newlyweds Becky and Matt purchase the home, unknowingly stepping into a supernatural trap.

This gripping paranormal romance masterfully weaves together two timelines, blending the heartache of a lost generation with the modern-day struggles of a couple on the brink. As strange occurrences escalate, Becky and Matt must decipher the secrets of the home before the same dark forces that destroyed the original lovers tear their marriage apart. It is a story where the line between the living and the dead blurs, proving that some promises are impossible to break, even from beyond the grave.

If you are looking for an emotional, spine-tingling read that will leave you reaching for the tissues, this is your next obsession. Lynn Ellen crafts a hauntingly atmospheric narrative filled with suspense, longing, and the lingering echoes of a ghostly betrayal.

A Ghostly Betrayal is the first book I've read by author Lynn Ellen (but it definitely won’t be my last). This book takes place in two timelines, really. The book opens in the 1940’s, as teenage beauty Katherine prepares to send her beloved James off to war. The two are deeply in love and quite inseparable, much to the disdain of Katherine’s mother. On the night before James departs, they become engaged and profess their love and commitment to one another. What follows is a tragedy beyond...

Genre: Paranormal Romance Pages: 253 Publisher: Goose Lake Press 5 - yes I said 5! - stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Do you need a good emotional cry for some fictional characters to escape real life? Then look no further because the amount of nail biting, tissue soaked moments I had during this read was unreal. I LOVED it! Not even going to lie, this isn't my typical genre to enjoy, but boy am I glad I took the risk. It's so hard to describe this book without spoiling it so I will try my best. James and...

I want to start off by saying this book wrecked me in a good way. I laughed and I cried. We have James and Katherine young lovers in the 1940’s and in the last night together before James sets off to war he proposed to Katherine. Katherine’s Uncle Eddie took pictures and promised to put them in frames for her. These young lovers wrote each other until 1 letter arrives to each saying they have found a new love. James broken hearted dies while on duty. Katherine dies during childbirth. Fast...
