A Forever Unrooting of Jade and Hickory (The Rooted Realm)

by Dr. Sarah Monday
Seventeen years ago, a single night shattered the lives of Dhani Gage and Asher Rome, forcing them onto divergent paths defined by tragedy and hidden agendas. Now, the haunting streets of Eastside bring them face-to-face once more. But in a town where the line between angel and demon is dangerously thin, the past is never truly buried. As they navigate a tension-filled reunion, both are burdened by a volatile secret that could destroy the fragile peace they have spent nearly two decades trying to build.
This is not your average paranormal romance; it is a raw, atmospheric exploration of redemption wrapped in sin. Dr. Sarah Monday masterfully weaves a slow-burn narrative that feels less like a typical story and more like a cathartic journey through emotional chaos. As the deadly influence of Sloth descends upon Eastside, Dhani and Asher must decide if they are strong enough to confront the monsters within or if their second-chance at love is destined to be consumed by their deepest fears.
If you are craving a visceral, character-driven experience that balances psychological depth with palpable desire, this installment of the Code of Souls series is essential reading. Prepare to lose yourself in a world where fate is a weapon and the only way out is through the shadows.

This book! Wow. I felt every emotion while reading this. I got so emotionally attached to the FMC and related to her struggles with never feeling quite good enough. The journey not only she, but the MMC go on is beautifully written as well as emotionally challenging. You’re in for a ride with this one. Tragic, yet beautiful. )
