The Fallen (The Fallen Trilogy)

by Sevyn Wynters

About this book

Maleah Stevens has accepted that men are generally a disappointment, but she never expected her life to spiral into the supernatural. After a terrifying encounter with a predator, she is saved by Enzo—a man who is as dangerously mysterious as he is undeniably captivating. Curiosity is a deadly trait, yet Maleah cannot resist pulling at the threads of his dark, guarded past, unaware that she is stepping into a realm where the lines between human and monster blur.

Enzo is a man caught in the ultimate limbo, exiled from both realms and burdened by a sinister presence he desperately wants to purge. He has spent an eternity mastering the art of apathy, living only for himself to avoid further betrayal. Saving Maleah was supposed to be a one-time lapse in judgment, but the act binds them together in ways he never anticipated. Now, he must decide if he can truly remain detached or if he will finally surrender to the inexplicable pull he feels toward her.

This gripping paranormal romance delivers the perfect blend of adrenaline-fueled action and sizzling tension. With a strong, relatable heroine and a brooding hero fighting his own inner darkness, this story breathes fresh life into the demon genre. It is an addictive, fast-paced ride that will leave you desperate for the next installment.

This was so good!!! It ticks all the boxes I look for in my novels. Strong heroine without being too forced or cringe. Good plot, adrenaline inducing action sequences, fantastic storytelling, well executed conflict! “The Fallen” took me on an exhilarating ride. Guess what? I savoured EVERY SECOND of it!!!! Maleah is all I want my female leads to be. Strong, vulnerable, not all consumed by the male lead, but still in love with him. I loved how she wasn’t a shrinking violet, but also want a Mary...

This is my first book from this author and I really like how creative this story was. I'm a fan of this genre and thought the author did a great job with the fantasy and paranormal in this book. The story was fun and exciting with some steamy scenes and lots of action. Great pace like a good movie. I will definitely be reading the next book. )

This book brought me back to what paranormal romance was when I first began writing myself. It is so amazing to see that like myself, other paranormal romance authors have stayed true to the craft, and away from the fluff we call paranormal romance today! The dialogue was awesome, she even threw in some comedy, the action scenes were spot on, and the reveal threw me, because I was expecting her to be something else! Lol, and the characters not only meshed, but worked well off each other. This...

*****Spoilers***** Maleah and Enzo meet when she's accosted by and almost raped by a man at a gas station. Enzo helps her out by breaking the assailant's neck and taking off. However, neither can stop thinking about the other. Although Enzo has his own things to deal with, such as the fact that his brother Zachriel's soul shares a body with him, thoughts return to Maleah for both of them regularly. After a botched attempt to separate his brother's soul, Zachriel is now in charge of Enzo's body...
