Ok there is so much goodness in this book! First let me say, a Gem Elf!!!! How cool is Jedda! She finds gems and takes them into her body. They are basically her life force. Great book. It can be read as a standalone but it does build off the characters from previous books but not enough to make reading this as a standalone confusing. Angels and demons are commonplace, but this angel is having a hard time with wrapping his head around the existence of elves. He is on a mission that she turns completely on its head )
