Lightbearer

by L.C. Davis

About this book

Levi Curtis was just an average delivery guy trying to protect his sister from a soul-selling scheme gone wrong. He never expected to summon the devil himself—specifically, a wickedly alluring, horned demon named Apollyon. What started as a desperate bargain to save his family quickly spiraled into an impossible situation: Levi is now the unwilling vessel for a Legion of demonic offspring. What was meant to be a simple containment ritual has transformed into a literal, high-stakes pregnancy that threatens the balance of both heaven and hell.

This unconventional paranormal romance masterfully blends dark humor with an intense, genre-bending narrative. As Levi and Apollyon navigate their forced proximity, they must transform their mutual disdain into a fragile alliance. It is a story about finding connection in the most infernal of places, where the stakes involve not just their own hearts, but the fate of two worlds hanging in the balance.

Lightbearer is perfect for readers who crave unique, trope-defying stories. With its meta-narrative structure and bold exploration of mpreg, this book offers a fresh, surprising take on hell-realm fantasy. Prepare for a wild, emotional ride where snarky wit meets ancient power, proving that even the devil can find a reason to change his ways.

Unique and unexpected-Great read

I read a lot. A lot. It’s not often I am genuinely surprised and delighted by a book. A love story yes. A love story that covers love in its many forms. The two MCs are engagingly written with depth and a fair bit of quirky humor. As the story develops it encompasses lovers, siblings, friends, little ones and very unique pets. Challenges overcome, obstacles hurdled (big ones) and relationships forged. Don’t worry there are plenty of sexy times early enough on but the book is about fighting for...

Humor and Demons

December 1, 2019

Levi Curtis is a snarky and stubborn main character who puts his family first. These traits are what leads him to Apollyon, the demon Levi ends up summoning. Apollyon wants a child and Levi ends up becoming Apollyon’s “baby mama” (as Levi describes it) and they both end up falling in love with each other. However, it’s not smooth sailing for the couple as a war between heaven and hell breaks out. Overall Rating: 4 Stars. The book was hilarious and I loved every moment of it. Levi and Apollyon...

First off, I've never heard of this author, never knew mpreg was even a genre. So I was kinda going in blind here. I read romance, pretty much anything goes, so I never turn my nose up at what could be a potential great read and what could be a look into the minds and made up lives of whoever. I'm nosy like that. I read the blurb, read a few reviews, saying how hard they laughed, how much they enjoyed the story. I was in the mood for something light and fun, so I took a chance. And boy, did it...

So fun to read!!!!!!!!! )

I have such mixed feelings!

The writing style was great and the main MC was freaking hilarious. I seriously laughed throughout this entire book. I feel like the story was unique in terms of the plot that it didn’t feel super cookie cutter. My issue with the book however, was that I never really felt the love between the two MC’s. I felt like they had absolutely zero chemistry, and the end of the book ended up, just leaving me feeling hollow and wanting more out of the relationship. I also felt like the last few chapters...
