Forget the fairy tales about shining armor and happy endings. In the shadows where most fear to tread, a different kind of story unfolds—one where the darkness isn't something to be feared, but embraced. You are invited into a world where the line between humanity and horror blurs, and the most dangerous entity in the room is the woman who knows exactly what she is.
This gripping paranormal romance introduces a protagonist who doesn't just coexist with the shadows; she welcomes them. As she navigates a life filled with secrets and supernatural intrigue, she finds herself drawn to the very creatures others spend their lives running from. It is a dark, atmospheric journey that masterfully blends suspense with a complex reverse-harem dynamic, proving that sometimes, finding your people means finding your monsters.
With its addictive pacing, sharp character development, and a tension-filled MFMM romance, this story is a must-read for fans of unconventional supernatural tales. Albany Walker delivers a narrative that is equal parts chilling and seductive, keeping readers hooked until the very last page. If you are searching for your next obsession, step into the dark and see why the monsters are the only friends worth keeping.

Albany Walker is a brand new author to me. I had never heard of her before, and when I saw this incredible cover, I was all for giving this book a try. I have a love hate relationship with paranormal romance. Well...maybe it’s more that I’m super picky when it comes to reading most paranormal. I am a HUGE fan of RH &Paranormal combined, and I had seen a recommendation of this book in a RH author/reader group on Facebook, and I knew it wouldn’t hurt. So combined with that rec, and the awesome...

Very good book with good character development and a few surprises tossed in to keep a good pace. Cliffhanger though! )

I had some reservations about reading this book but I'm so glad I decided to read it. WOW, this was such a surprise, an AWESOME surprise. I also got it on audio, I was in my car laughing like a looney person. Grim is my favorite, so funny without trying to be. Love Dami is such a baddie, strong female character. The sexy times are amazing and hooottt. I highly HIGHLY recommend it. )

Another review reported the FMC reminded them of a Harley Quinn type and I also caught that vibe. I found her to be strangely cute and endearing (at the first). The boys were also good in their own way and I found the storyline to be unique. The FMC was vulnerable but also was strong and sassy. I started out with 4.5 stars but after finishing the book my rating dropped. I hated the relationship with her and ‘kitten.’ I thought he was written closer to a petulant child and she was weirdly bratty...

The cover is the first thing that drew me in with this book & then the blurb solidified my decision. All I can say is thank heavens I found this book because it was exactly what I needed to get me out of my book funk. I 100% loved that this stories main characters were adults & not teenagers; especially since I don’t normally find this type of genre using adults as the main focus. Damiana was outstanding & that’s an understatement! She tells you how it is, but still has a some self doubt about...
