A Forever Unrooting of Jade and Hickory (The Rooted Realm)

by Robyn Peterman
Life after death is proving to be a chaotic nightmare for Daisy Knight. As a half-vampyre, half-demon hybrid, she expected the afterlife to be complicated, but she did not anticipate navigating the literal Underworld while her soulmate, Ethan, slowly turns to dust. In this hilarious installment of the Hot Damned series, the couple’s romantic getaway is derailed by meddling relatives, demonic toddlers, and a Hell that feels suspiciously like a dysfunctional family reunion.
This paranormal romance masterfully blends high-stakes supernatural drama with laugh-out-loud humor. As Daisy traverses the bizarre landscape of Hell, she discovers her lineage is tied to every deity imaginable. Between dodging the Seven Deadly Sins—who are far too preoccupied with social media—and managing Mother Nature’s volatile temper, Daisy must embark on a race against time. She has exactly three days to locate a mythical sword and keep the Devil’s poker night from turning into an apocalypse.
If you are looking for a paranormal read that refuses to take itself too seriously, this is your next obsession. Peterman delivers a fast-paced, witty adventure where royalty is absurd, the hell-realms are surprisingly relatable, and the stakes are always sky-high. Grab this sequel for a wild, demonic ride that proves being dead is anything but boring.

\"The Hell where the Prince of Darkness is hotter than Hades, Hell Hounds smell like brownies and the Seven Deadly Sins are addicted to Facebook…Not to mention the soundtrack in the Underworld is Journey. For real.\" I will just start out saying that I adore this book. Its uproariously, side-splittingly funny, sexy and just fun. But lets be organised about this so I don't forget anything . . . The characters were done flawlessly. The main character's a kick-ass, power-packed bundle of comedy...

Okay, if you haven't read the first book, Fashionably Dead, go download it right now and read it first. You'll lose nothing as it is free right now, and it will give you the background needed to read this one. I really enjoyed the first book, but was annoyed at the cliff-hanger ending that made it so I had to buy this one in order to finish the story. However, this one was so worth the money. Just a warning: if you are very religious and/or easily offended at different interpretations of...

Robyn is hysterical. She truly captured the wackiness that can flit through a person’s head in the most untimely of moments and yet keep the story going. This book was really good, and I loved the idea of the poker game in Hell (no spoilers). I love the protagonist’s progression and can’t wait to see where Robyn takes us next! Enjoy! >^..^< )

Book 2 takes up where the first book left off with what may have been one of the most climatic cliff hangers I have ever come across. Thankfully I only recently discovered Robyn Peterman's work so this book as well as two others in the series have already been released. Let me tell you, she has quickly worked her way up into the one of my favorite authors category. Her characters are funny, engaging and easily likeable, even the ones that you shouldn't like. Here's a rundown of this book....

Hilarious, sarcastic, snarky, and quirky! The entire family is not quite right but they are family.... meeting the other half of the family is quite the experience, to say the least! Astrid takes one hell of side trip in learning about her prophecy role. Satan, sorry Uncle Satan, is quite the character and the 7 Sins are cousins! So as Astrid is learning about the family she is still trying to figure out how to get home and how to find Ethan. She learns quite a bit about herself and her powers,...
