Each Their Own Devil (Our Lady of Fire: Book Three)

by L.B. Black

About this book

Aleja has fought tirelessly to claim her mantle as the Dark Saint of Wrath, but her greatest battle is just beginning. While the Hiding Place is consumed by the friction of war, a far more terrifying catastrophe looms on the horizon. With the world teetering on the edge of oblivion, Aleja finds herself in an impossible position: she must choose between the home she has built and the enemy who holds the key to humanity's survival.

This gripping conclusion to the Our Lady of Fire trilogy masterfully blends high-stakes demon lore with a tension-filled enemies-to-lovers dynamic. As the lines between hero and villain blur, Aleja is forced to confront the ultimate betrayal. Even her husband, the Knowing One, cannot shield her from the fire that threatens to consume their reality. Their bond, once a sanctuary, now faces the ultimate test of loyalty as Aleja prepares to walk away from everything she holds dear.

If you crave dark, atmospheric paranormal romance where love is as dangerous as the demons themselves, this finale is your next obsession. L.B. Black delivers a heart-wrenching, explosive payoff that asks a haunting question: can love truly endure when the entire world is burning to ash?

Fantastic

April 9, 2025

Aleja has worked hard to regain her position as the Dark Saint of Wrath. The Messenger of the opposing faction continues to warn Aleja of an imminent danger far greater than the current war, convincing Aleja that she must help the Messenger with an impossible task. The Knowing One and the other Dark Saints don't believe the Messenger, and as Aleja is missing her memories, she can't decide for herself who to trust. Will she do what it takes to save everyone she loves, even if it means betraying...

A great trilogy ending

April 21, 2025

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Here is my honest review, This whole trilogy has been such an amazing adventure and getting to see the story from Aleja's beginning of summoning the Knowing One to becoming a Dark Saint herself and watching the war unfold has been fantastic! Truly loved this trilogy to its core and an all over fantastic read. )

Great ending

It took me a few goes to get into this book. I found I needed to revisit the second book and then start this one. It helped remind me of the players and their journeys. Do not try to read this as a standalone. You will need the knowledge from the first two books to even have a hope of following along. Great characters, wonderful world building, the lore is well developed and the storyline has a great pace. )

Decent enough but felt incomplete

April 8, 2025

So, pretty big stakes were set up in book 2. Book 3 should have been the culmination of plot, the facing of betrayals, the final epic reveal of the fate of our heroes. But it felt incomplete to me. There is one big battle that is supposed to be the Epic Plot of book 3 but all the other storylines were left hanging. The problem with the messenger and the second were solved way too simplistically. The whole mess with Violet barely gets any attention and I find myself very unsatisfied with how her...

perfect ending to a great series

May 18, 2025

As someone who devours fantasy and young adult ARCs, Each Their Own Devil by L.B. Black delivered everything I look for in a series finale—and then some. This third installment is not only a gripping conclusion but also a deeply introspective journey into identity, loyalty, and the limits we place on ourselves in the name of survival. Aleja, now the Dark Saint of Wrath, is a protagonist I’ve loved watching evolve. From fiery resilience to vulnerable introspection, her growth feels raw and...
