While I knew that this was a dark romance and the author described the vibes for the MMC, Mateo, as Jax Teller; I will say that it's accurate and so much more. I went into this expecting a dark paranormal romance, but it’s way more intense than that. This book is brutal in the best way. It starts off chaotic and emotional and honestly never really lets you breathe. Mateo’s story hooked me right away.
