Succubus Chained (Paranormal Prison: Shackled Souls)

About this book

Waking up in a shredded designer outfit with a ruined manicure is a nightmare for anyone, but for Fiona MacRieve, it is just the beginning of a supernatural disaster. After a romantic tryst with a vampire goes horribly wrong, Fiona finds herself caught in an impossible biological paradox. She was a succubus, but thanks to a forced blood exchange that should have killed her, she has awakened as a vampire hybrid. To make matters worse, she is immediately arrested and tossed into the notorious Nightmare Penitentiary.

This fast-paced paranormal romance kicks off a gripping trilogy, blending high-stakes prison drama with a spicy reverse-harem dynamic. Fiona is the ultimate feisty protagonist, armed with a razor-sharp wit and an obstinate refusal to play the role of a damsel in distress. As she navigates the dangerous politics of her new reality, she finds herself surrounded by possessive, protective men who are just as complicated as her new existence.

If you are looking for your next binge-worthy read, this story delivers the perfect mix of snarky humor, intense passion, and dark, supernatural mystery. Dive into a world where guardian angels and dangerous creatures collide, and discover why Fiona is the most captivating prisoner in the genre.

Lite, fun, and steamy with a side of sassy!

Let’s talk about Fi! She is so feisty and sassy with a side of obstinate! Plus her inner dialogue is a hoot. I absolutely love her character and seriously want to be as sassy as she is when I grow up. I really loved the plot that was laid out and also how old Alfred, Rogue, Maddox and Fin are but they each have such fun character traits. You don’t feel the old energy from Maddox or Fin, they seem so young compared to Rogue and Alfred! I am so excited to see what Fi and her men do next. PS this...

Well written MMCs.

“First, no one asked for rescue. Second, I’m not some helpless damsel. Third, I’m nobody’s f_____ prize.” I LOVED Fiona. She was an awesome, skillfully written FMM. The guys were possessive/protective but still had personalities. It’s so easy for authors to rely on the cookie-cutter alpha stereotype that leaves these poor guys without a single thought other than “she’s mine”. Each MMC was different, with separate motivations and interesting back stories. My only hang up is that they really only...

Loved Fiona!

Succubus Chained is the first book in the Paranormal Prison series. It focuses on Fiona who is a succubus turned vampire- a hybrid, but how is that possible?? She is confident, snarky, and all around a fun character. I adore her! Enter Maddox, Fin, and Rogue; three guys who come to save her even though they’ve never met. They tell her she is theirs but she has no intention of staying with them. All she wants is to finish building the dream house in her head, dang it! As the story unfolds you...

A good start to the series

I'm on the fence about this book. I'm interested, the narrative is original and intriguing, the world building is excellent, and the three male protagonists each have their own distinct personality and voice. My contention was with Fiona. I had a difficult time connecting with her, let alone like her. According to what I've read, her character is a sarcastic succubus. However, at times, I felt as though she came across as being oppositional only for the sake of being oppositional, and she came...

Impressive

I was slightly hesitant to read this series because some of the Nightmare Penitentiary books are lackluster. Thank goodness I did not let that affect my decision because this book was wonderful. I adored every twist and turn that this book revealed. All the protagonists were exceptionally well written and fleshed out. The story was gripping and I had a hard time putting my phone down so I wouldn’t spend the entire day reading. While the heroine could be overly snarky, her reasonings came off as...
