Cosette is a talented author with a knack for pulling her readers into the story and making them feel like part of it. I found this series as an ARC reader for the first installment in this trilogy, Reaper's Assistant. I wasn't blown away by that first novel but it ended in a way that I thought maybe the next book would be better. I'm glad I stuck with the series because yes, Reaper's Assistant was a slow set up for the rest of the story.
