The heart-wrenching conclusion to the Nightshade duology plunges deep into the abyss of forbidden desire and celestial ruin. After suffering a devastating betrayal, the protagonist finds herself trapped within the walls of Infernium, a nightmarish asylum that serves as a gateway to hell. Abandoned by the heavens and haunted by her own fracturing sanity, she must navigate a labyrinth of shadows where the line between salvation and damnation dissolves.
This gripping paranormal romance masterfully blends gothic horror with an intense, soul-searing devotion. At the center of the storm is Jericho, a dark angel whose lethal protective instincts are tested to their absolute limit. As the protagonist struggles with a burgeoning darkness—a internal duality warring between her capacity for love and a burning, righteous need for revenge—the stakes escalate into a dangerous game of survival.
Keri Lake delivers a haunting experience that pushes the boundaries of the genre, offering a perfect, visceral balance of terror and heat. For readers who crave tortured heroes, high-stakes stakes, and fated love stories that defy the heavens, this finale is an essential read. Prepare to be consumed by a romance that proves even the most condemned souls can find their match in the dark.

Usually prefer dual narrators but still enjoyed this narration. Keri Lake is one of my favorite authors and one I will always auto buy… )

“You bring new meaning to the word love.” The Nightshade duology concludes perfectly with Infernium; with another perfect balance of horror and sexy to keep your pages turning! New characters (and their arcs) are always exciting — Vaszahgo was a personal favorite. However… —— Possible Character Arc Spoiler • • • However, the character arc of Vespyr fell completely short. The potential this character had to be something of significance was stolen by an obvious need to virtue signal. Mysterious...

I thought this was a very solid ending to the duology. I love both of the books together as a story, but this second one wasn't as impactful as the first. I did really love the way the Infernium was written as a setting. It truly felt like a labyrinth of madness and I actually thought her time in it was almost too short, that's how atmospheric it felt. It is a very long book and feels like a bit of a chore at times, but I powered through every bit because I really wanted to know how it ended. I...
