Plus it was so good to have a change of heroes, and outside A Mate for Kai, there has been no other story starring a female dragon. ***POTENTIAL SPOILERS INCLUDED*** It seems that almost every couple Hartnady writes, ends up being my favourite. At least until the next couple! What gives Azure the edge for me is how she was fine with not reproducing. I get very excited whenever I stumble across a character that is childfree since the narrative for happily ever after too often includes children. That's not everyone's idea of happy. I loved the story, it was amazing in that it featured the common problems of fertility and the changes in cycles. It also featured the sensitive topic of rape which was well done. The romance was also done tastefully with sensitivity for a female's feelings. Kudos to the author.😉😇 )

Wanting to be valued for who and what you are is every persons desire in a relationship.
