Holy cow!!! This book was so good. I loved that we got more intimacy between Olivia and the guys. There was so much going on that kept me on the edge of my seat. And that cliffhanger totally got me. I did not expect how it ended. There is also something that happened in the last chapter that better be taken care of. )

Multiple points of view. Olivia is hurt emotionally by her mates and takes off with her besties. She misses her mates though and when one takes her back she finds her father there. Turns out her father is more than she knew. The council discovers who Olivia is and demands she go through the trials to prove she has control over her powers. So I'm just blown away by this author! This is her second book and I would have never been able to guess that by reading her books. The 1st one was AMAZING but this one has surpassed that! She hit another one out of the park! It blew all of my expectations out of the water. Thankfully this books picks up off where the last left off on that cliffhanger. Completely sucked in from the first page, until I fell tumbling off the cliff, with that massive cliffhanger. Deception picked up right where Ascension left off. Olivia is a such a strong FMC and she dominates this book. Fighting the council while trying to make it though the trials, is no easy task. The connection with her mates grows stronger, and I loved all the sweetness they shared. Max and Mateo are still my favorite and all four boys will be in my book harem forever. Kyros, wooohooo...

Book two was very interesting, I often think the second books tend to divert and are less appealing, this book stuck to the continued storyline. I will say it was nice to see Olivia develop her relationships with her other men but honestly the interaction between Adrian and Mateo was annoying. It took Adrian half of the book to get over his hurt feelings, like dude you’re a god who has been around for forever and some 20 year old hurt your feelings and you were ready to give up… the book...
