Rafferty was once a creature of trickery and dark deals, but a single act of mercy from the hopelessly charming Helena changed everything. Now, stripped of his demonic status and granted the fragile gift of humanity, he is navigating the steep learning curve of a mortal existence. For a fallen angel used to manipulation, savoring the simple joys of life is a challenge, especially when his past refuses to stay buried.
This second-chance romance explores the messy transition from supernatural entity to human man. Just as Rafferty begins to settle into his new skin, a mysterious, newborn angel crashes into his life, throwing his world into disarray. Is she a celestial savior or a deceptive demon in disguise? As he grapples with this new arrival, Rafferty is forced to confront the true weight of redemption and whether he can outrun his old, sinful habits.
Fans of paranormal romance will find a unique blend of cozy domesticity and infernal intrigue in this follow-up. While the narrative shifts focus, the heart of the story remains the evolving bond between Rafferty and Helena. If you are looking for a character-driven tale that balances supernatural stakes with a soft, romantic center, this is a must-read for your shelf.

I loved Cooking & Demons, and then I was disappointed by this book. I struggled to finish it. I'm still not really sure what the point of the story was. Helena felt like a side character and I truly thought Rafferty was going to cheat on her. The magic and world-building got really confusing, like there just aren't any rules. )

This was such a great follow up book to Cookbooks and Demons! I absolutely loved following Rafferty and Helena and seeing how their story continued in this monster romance. This book has all the cozy vibes and will have you craving food while you read it. I really loved getting Rafferty’s POV in this one and all of the new elements that had me questioning everything throughout the book. Just as engaging as the first book. It was worth the wait. I thoroughly enjoyed how the chapters were written from different characters perspectives and the way the author was able to capture the emotional struggles and response as the story unfolded. The book took you on the emotional journey with the characters. )
